Reggie the Veggie Boy

Reggie hanging out

Reggie is better than ever, but taking a break from his running around.

This is Reggie. He eats veggies. He loves them. He also loves bananas and apples. Recently he had a healing challenge and I wanted to tell my story about the power of love, trust and healing (which I think is all part of the same thing). Reggie is a happy 5 year old mini lop who loves to leap into the air at a moments notice; he also loves to tear apart card board, phonebooks and rattan baskets; I call him destructo-bunny. This is a way for channel his aggressive energy. He also loves to do things to make me laugh. I can be sitting in front of the computer working, he will nudge me and when I go to pet him, he will run away so fast it looks like someone lit his tail on fire (of course we would never do that, but I think you get the idea). He loves to tease me. When he wants attention he will let me know. Sometimes I will get on the floor with him and he will come up and sniff me and put his front paws on my leg. Yes, we have a great relationship. Two weeks ago, I noticed he was not as active as he normally is. When I or my husband David came in to give him his favorite greens, he wouldn’t get excited and run up to his bowl. We got him into the vet to find out what was going on. The vet said he could have picked up an infection. Because bunnies have very delicate digestion problems, it could have been anything. We do feed him a good diet. his favorite greens, parsley, cilantro, dandelion greens, a small carrot in the evening; a small piece of banana as a treat; and plenty of hay and water. Dr. Riddle, from the Southampton Veterinary hospital in Benicia, CA, gave him a shot of antiobiotics, a shot for any pain he may be feeling and sent us home with more antibiotics. When I saw the vet tech give us the drops and instructions, I think David and both had a feeling of dread-we had to somehow get the drops in him twice a day. Bunnies, being prey animals have a hard time if someone holds them down to them medicine, even if this will help him. I had the fear we wouldn’t be able to do this. The other thought that came up-usually when I have had to give antibiotics to my other bunnies, it never seemed to help and they would go to the dandelion field in the sky. We took Reggie home and observed him. I had to keep telling myself “he is going to be ok, just get through the week”. The first evening, David tried to give Reggie his drops by himself. He normally is the one who takes care of that part when our 4-legged kids get ill. Reggie seemed sedate until David put the dropper close to his mouth, then he darted out of his arms with more activity than I have seen since he got ill. It was so traumatic for all of us. I thought “we are never going to get these drops in him twice a day for 6 more days-it’s never going to happen”. Both David and I knew we couldn’t give up. The next morning I did a healing meditation and asked my guides what we can do. I saw our little Buster, our other mini-lop who died from cancer, a week before Reggie got sick. He came to me and said “Don’t worry, mom, Reggie is going to be ok, it is isn’t his time to leave yet”. I was in the circle holding Reggie, all my guides and allies around us. Through visualization, I was shown to have David hold Reggie when we give him his medication and I was the one to administer the dosage “just do it really fast, keep calm and you will do just fine”. I also communicated to Reggie what we were doing, and what he was to expect. Then I thanked my guides for coming together, closing the circle and getting back in my body. I told David what we needed to do. He went to hold Reggie, I got his medicine out of the refrigerator,  filled up the dropper, found the side of his mouth and shot it in quickly. He didn’t flinch, in fact he started licking around his mouth where I squirted the medicine. It was banana flavored. It must had tasted ok.

Here he is, bunny napping.

Then he took a short nap. A miracle? Yes, but that what life is, a small series of miracles that show up unexpectedly. So we got past the first hurdle. The next hurdle? Getting Reggie to eat. He was still barely nibbling his greens. He was still eating some hay, but not with the same enthusiasm and voraciousness, he normally has. I kept praying. I would ask Buster. “Are you sure he is going to be ok, or are you just trying to make me feel better?” Buster thought that was an odd remark. He is honest, there is no reason not to be honest. He just kept saying. “Just wait”. I also thought from a rabbit’s perspective being a prey animal, if they are not feeling vital, he may think it is time to leave his body. So two days later, on a Saturday, I sat down with Reggie and said out loud. “I know you being a prey animal, you may not realize you can get well, but your body is strong, you are a warrior bunny, tell your body to start healing itself. Even we humans get sick and it may not feel good, but we let our bodies get well and we are fine. You can too. It isn’t time for you to leave yet”. I stopped talking and continued to sit quietly. Next thing I know. I see Reggie leaving his pen and running out and exploring, which he hadn’t done since he got sick. He became animated again. I took out some parsley and presented it to him-and he ate it! I took a little more out gave it to him and he gobbled it out.  Once he took the first bite that Saturday his appetite came back quickly. What a relief. We got him to take the rest of his drops and only protested a little the last day.

I am so grateful for the close connection I have with my guides. They helped when I was feeling lost and discouraged. I listened I surrendered my doubt and replaced it with Faith-a deep knowing even if I can’t see the physical evidence. Reggie was back. We got through it, we faced out fears and I believe this experience brought us all closer together.

I’M Batty for Bats!

Yes, I am declaring I love these mammals. They are smart, sweet, affectionate and very expressive. They have many different vocalizations. And guess what many of the things that bats do have helped develop medications to our species. NO, they will not suck your blood dry. Amanda Lollar founder of the Bat World Sanctuary says “That is only in the movies”. I first learned about bats when my friend and fellow artist, Angelique Stacy shared a post about bats on Facebook. There was a photo of a bat named Pants cuddling with a Teddy Bear. Then I saw another photo of a bat named Lizzie and she had an expression that said she loves and knows how to have fun. That was it. I started thinking of words to write a song inspired by Lizzie titled “If Lizzie could talk what would she say”. The melody came really fast and I knew that the Universe was saying it’s time to get back to work. I don’t consider this a job, I consider this a joy! I made a donation to Bat Worlds Sanctuary and received a very nice email from Amanda. So I emailed Amanda back and told her my idea about writing a song and donating 75% of the sales back to the Bat World Sanctuary. Amanda emailed me back and said “Hi Evie, This sounds wonderful! Your music is really beautiful:)….Thank you so much!” So in the next few months, I will be writing and keeping you all posted of the evolution of this project. I wanted to leave you with a link to a video of Amanda being interviewed by David Letterman:

Are You Ready For A Change?

Woman BuddahIt is human nature to dream of having Abundance, Prosperity, Joy, Peace. But when we ask ourselves “Am I ready to bring in my success, my happiness, my abundance, do I feel calm about this or dread”? If I got what I wanted would this really make me feel Joyful? Is it really the new car, the new relationship, the dream job, losing those 20 lbs that will tell me my life is complete? There is a saying that goes “Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it”. Why does that bring up the feelings of fear for some? Is it because we may have to move out of our comfort zone to bring these things in to our lives? What will we have to do to get them? Will we have to ask our boss for a raise, will we have to take on another part time job? I myself used to work myself up into a frenzie, having these thoughts feeling like bullets ricocheting inside of my brain. I could actually feel the energy making my head tingle and sometimes I would feel vertigo. Yes, the urge for movement was tempting, but my fear of change kept me frozen.

I can joyously say that the above paragraph has shifted for me because I am willing to release my fear, my anger, my uncertainty when I am ready and the Universe is ok with that. Over the years and continuing today I have tools that assist me for my new epiphanies when I am open. Part of the resistance was not that it would happen, but what would I do when it did? Change is hard for many of us but as a wise person once said once your life stops changing, your life stops.  I wanted to share with one tool that helps me everyday. Emotional Freedom Technique (or EFT) is an amazing tool. Tapping is another term used for this process. It can help me when I feel tense, when there is a life lesson ready to shift. Here is an excerpt From Nick Ortner’s new book The Tapping Solution:

Tapping is one of the fastest and easiest ways to address both the emotional and physical problems that tend to hamper our lives. Using the energy meridians of the body, practitioners tap on specific points while focusing on particular negative emotions or physical sensations. The tapping helps calm the nervous system to restore the balance of energy in the body, and in turn rewire the brain to respond in healthy ways. This kind of conditioning can help rid practitioners of everything from chronic pain to phobias to addictions. Because of tapping’s proven success in healing such a variety of problems, Ortner recommends to try it on any challenging issue.

I do use Tapping on a daily basis. It is gentle and feels good after I finish. I can feel the energy dispersing and changing like getting an emotional shower washing away the messages my body no longer needs to hold on to. Because I am open to changes, I have been receiving many opportunities for this. Now I can start to release any resistance because I know the benefits of these changes.

One change I am working on now is focusing on my career as a professional Joy Guide. I guess other people would call what I do a life coach. But I like to add that for many of us when we forget how to feel joyful, we can lose our optimism, forget to laugh and take our  life so seriously. Part of being a Joy Guide is being a good listener for my clients So I can hear what is some of the thoughts streaming in their mind that is keeping them from connecting that joy that isn’t gone, but laying dormant. Feeling Joy keeps us releasing these wonderful endorphins. When we are in an open space we see the opportunities the Universe sends to us. We are open for example to striking up a conversation with someone who is looking to hire someone with just your skillset or that new love in your life. When our Joy is present in our consciousness we start seeing the miracles in our lives. “A Course in Miracles” says that “if you are not creating miracles something is wrong.” I have so much fun when I do my work. in a session we laugh quite a bit. So are you ready for a change. Let’s talk and tap.

Celebrity Sighting (who is Also a Good Friend of Mine and Yours Too)

I love the magazines who have a section of celebrity sightings. Oh boy you met Brad Pitt, is he as cute as Angelique thinks he is? You saw Chris Isaak at Ocean Beach in San Francisco? What you were standing next to Bruce Springsteen? It is really cool to meet these extraordinary people. I met John Dye the actor who played Andrew the Angel of Death in Touched by an Angel. He had a sparkly personality and fun to talk to. I met Tony La Russa when I was working at Pet Food Express in Pleasant Hill. He is a very stoic person who liked to keep to himself. But if you asked him about his animal family he would immediately light up. But one of the well-known personalities I have gotten introduced to 2 years ago is Archangel Michael and the other Archangels. I was introduced  by a dear friend, Tana Newberry. Tana  is a very talented film maker, but also known as the “Angel Girl” at anyone who goes to Angel Heart 4 You in Benicia. She was giving a workshop on how to get connected with Archangel Michael. She took us through some exercises to increase our awareness of him. In the first meditation, it was a guided meditation to meet him. It was interesting how everyone in the group saw him differently. Some of us saw him as a very handsome, radiant male with long blonde flowing hair with his Sword. But how he appeared to me was an angel in a long white robe wearing a fake nose and glasses with a Groucho Marx mustache holding a cigar. I asked him why he is appearing to me like this and he said “you are the one who wanted me to look like this. I will appear to each individual in a way that is comfortable.” Yes, he was in the perfect persona for me. I learn better if there is a humorous aspect. He told me that when ever I needed help from him just ask. Now that I am aware of him. When I am in a space where I feel uncomfortable with certain situations or people, I call him in and I instantly feel calm and safe. I was told by Tana that he is also an angel to call if you are having trouble with your computer or anything electronic. I always feel him around me. As I am writing this. I feel his hands on my shoulder. and a warmth down my back. He is gently supporting me. He is like a big brother to me.  So back to the photo. There was a lady in Angel Heart taking Aura Photos. Before the photo was taken I asked my Angel crew to take a photo with me.  This is the photo that was taken

Angel Crew

When I took this photo today so I could show this to you, you can see Michael holding his sword. You may be able to see there is  spark coming out of my right eye and a presence on my heart chakra. but  I also saw some things that didn’t show up originally. if you look at the upper right hand side you can see an outline of an angel wing or a bat wing. I just got introduced to the Bat kingdom from a photo on Facebook. It was a photo of a bat holding on to a teddy bear. It was So cute. I got such a sense of love and innocence from looking at her photo.  Bats are very misunderstood and I am now being called to share the lives of bats. It is all because of the photo of Lizzie who I believe is an interspecies ambassador. My next project will be on bats. So if you want to be friends with Archangel, just call on him, he’ll be there.

The shift is Here Are You Ready?

Alchemy WomanI was so excited when December 21st finally arrived.  The old tired ways of “No Pain No Gain” and thoughts that you have to be a strong “my way or the highway” leader is fading. You will see many manifestations of peace, harmony and love materializing every where. You can change your life too. Actually, anytime before the shift occurred, you can make things change. But now you will have the enhanced energy of attracting things into your lives faster. The dense energy that can filter the higher vibrations so it is more challenging to make that connection has been removed so your manifestation work will produce results much faster. That said, it is also important to be very clear what you are asking for because you will receive exactly what you are asking. When you know exactly how to word your requests you will see the positive joyous results you are seeking and visualize. If you are not sure how to do this. I can help you. I am an EFT  law of Attraction coach and can help you fine tune your manifesting skills. I have studied under the teachings of  Michael J Lossier and Esther and Jerry Hicks and Gary Craig and love doing this work. With the shift that occurred on December 21, 2012, you will see how fast things change.I have been using these techniques for over 10 years and I have built up my mental equivalent to know that what ever I am requesting comes in at the perfect time. If you want help email me at visionsAlchemy.com or leave me a message on my business line (707) 361-5864. If you live in another city or state or country, we can have a video Skype session. I wanted to leave you with a video done by Jack Canfield and Pamela Bruner that explains the work I do.

Everyday Miracles

This has been quite a year for my family. Many lessons and many happy surprises. My husband David had a health scare a few months ago, now he is doing much better. Both of us are eating better and he has dropped 40 lbs. I am feeling more freedom emotionally, spiritually, creatively, physically and financially. I am learning a new instrument that I also feel is going to help me in my healing work. Since I have been incorporating my virtual meditation-healing circle I am seeing results with my family and friends. There is a richness in my life that continues to grow.

One of my prayers has been for my brothers and sister and myself to become re-connected. We grew up in a household where we became fragmented. For many years, very little communication took place. Recently, our father passed away and this was the catalyst to re-connect. My older sister and myself went to our family home to visit with our younger brother who was the care taker for our father. We went out to dinner and started getting reacquainted. For some of you out there who have always have close family relationships, this may seem foreign to you. To think that you could go almost 20 years without any communication. We all had to do some inner work so we could come together in an open and humble space. To end any ego thoughts of the blame game and alchemically change to a level of gentleness and compassion. That is a miracle.

Our youngest brother had moved to another state and because of things going in his life, I had no idea how to get in touch with him. My Brother Gabe, who has been clean and sober for 9 years and had stayed in touch with our youngest brother gave me his number and said to call him. So I did call and left messages for about a year off and on. I believe he was still sorting out some things in his life that were painful, he needed to reconcile with.

I continued to send healing blessings to our family. I knew that healing is always taking place and may not be seen in a way I perceive it, yet I know it is still working. Two weeks ago, I called my youngest brother, Christopher. He wasn’t home, but I left a message. The next day he called, but I was in the shower. He left a message on my voicemail and hearing his voice after so many years was a gift in itself.

We finally did talk. Chris has gone through a lot and he has done a lot of inner work and he taken responsibility of his life. It is so courageous to look at the stuff that happened in his life and make positive changes. he is going to school. He wants to be a teacher. He is a very talented writer and he is also studying the Piano.

My Sister also was having challenges with family stuff and I hadn’t spoken to her for almost two years. Then 2 months ago, I needed help putting my bike together and asked our brother in law if he could come over. He hadn’t mentioned if my sister was coming with him. I didn’t question him, in case it was a sensitive subject. When I heard his car drive up, we heard a knock on the door and it was my sister standing there! What a wonderful surprise.

We had a nice time catching up. Now we are talking on a regular basis. Elaine is planning a tamale making party on Christmas Eve and making some tasty snacks to knosh on while we are making tamales. So Gabe, Elaine, her husband Greg, David and our canine nephew, Tucker will be spending the holidays together. Chris unfortunately will not be able to come down, but in the spring my husband and I are planning to take a trip where he lives. This is a miracle. I found out later talking to both my brothers, that we had all been praying to reconnect and it is happening. It is all in the timing. And God is always on time.

Everything’s Rosey with Rose

This is Rose, my muse

Yes I gave my baritone Psaltery  a name. I call her Rose or Rosey. She is a a deep sultry sounding Psaltery and the sound has a Cello-isque tone. It is soothing to listen to her notes. I am practicing scales right now and then I will start re-learning the songs I taught myself on my Soprano Psaltery who I am gifting to a friend who is helping me learn about good nutrition and incorporating the right vitamin supplements into my husband and my food plan ( I don’t like the word diet, as Richard Simmons once said it has “die” in the word).  The first time I let Linda play the Soprano Psaltery, she seemed to activate frequencies that made the Psaltery sound even more angelic. I knew that she is a healer and this instrument is going to be helpful on the quest to using the Psaltery as a healing instrument. Our plan is to start learning songs and playing together.  My goal is for Linda and I to start playing in Senior homes, going to schools and introducing this bowed instrument made of wood, metal hitch and tuning pins and sounds like an ethereal violin and help to encourange new Psaltery players. Parents can buy beginning Soprano Psaltries for $70 to $80.

I read the Bowed Psaltery was created by a gentleman in Germany who wanted an instrument that was easy children to learn. I recently had a lesson with Donna Malus, via Skype, and she said that many Psaltery players don’t read music and can still play the instrument beautifully.  I am not advocating that basic music theory is not neccessary. I do read music and it is helps to know the notes and rhythm when I am learning a song, but my intention here is to let you know that it is that easy to play.

Donna Malus is a super Psaltery player who I got acquainted with when I happened to find her website, Psaltery Strings,http://psalterystrings.ning.com/ I asked Donna why she decided to create the website and Donna said when she discovered the Bowed Psaltery, 5 years ago, she had a hard time finding information about the instrument or tips on how to improve your playing skill. Now she says there are over 400+ members and the list just keeps growing.

I would love to see other Psaltery players in my area in the Bay Area. Back east, they have an annual Bowed Psaltery Symphony. My intention is to attend in 2014. It would be nice to have this kind of event in our area too.
